By the looks of things, it'll get pretty warm here by the middle of the week! The Climate Prediction Center released a promising 6-10 day forecast today. A big ridge of high pressure will build over the eastern half of the U.S. with temperatures way above the seasonal averages. In fact, some areas in Illinois, Iowa, and Missouri will be in the 70s for Wednesday and Thursday! We won't be quite that lucky but 60s seem almost a sure bet as temperatures are expected to be much above normal over the next 6-10 days.
As far as precipitation over the next six to ten days, it looks a little sloppy...but I have a hunch this rain will come in days 7 & 8 (next weekend). Time will tell, but this kind of outlook is definitely something nice to see for a change! -ERIC
