Temperatures over the next couple of days will be well above average. Highs on Sunday were in the low 50s. Monday highs should reach the mid to upper 50s and then we'll see the 60s by Tuesday.
Winds not only at the surface but also several thousand feet up in the atmosphere will be out of the west/southwest. This will set up the possibility of some record breaking warmth in some spots of the nation. Unfortunately the warm up won't last that long. A cold front will come through Wednesday and cool us back into the lower 40s by the end of the week.
