One of the first things I do when I get into the weather center each day is check the temperatures. At 3pm the National Weather Service is reporting it is 109° in Rochelle, Illinois...along with clouds at 4,600 feet and light rain.
Perhaps this is a sign of temperatures to come this summer. Do you think we'll hit 100° this summer? It's been a long time since it's happened around here. Oh yeah, one more thing: Anybody in Rochelle want to comment on today's heat? :-) -ERIC

I would pick 109 over 0 ANY day.
Anyway didnt rochelle have problems with their temperatures a few months ago? And how does a thermometer mess up THAT much..
They could mess up if the thermometer is to close to something really warm like a light or something that gives off alot of heat. Don't know if that's the case but it's always an idea.
Well, I have been burning up in Rochelle all day...and I just thought it was hot flashes...wow I am glad that wasn't the case 109 is really hot! hehe Sandy
I AM GLAD THAT THE WEATHER IS FINALLY STARTING TO GET WARMER I HOPE WE CAN CLOSE THE BOOKS ON THIS COLD WINTER.
I think Rochelle has a fox or a raccoon snuggled up to its thermometer.
