Few Storms Moving In

Right now, as of 5:45pm, a cluster of thunderstorms moving through southwestern Wisconsin will continue to move southeast through Green, Jo Daviess, Stephenson, and Winnebago counties through 7pm. Some of the storms may become strong enough to produce a few gusts near 45-50 mph and pea-sized hail.

They are forming ahead of a cold front stretching from northern Wisconsin back through northern Iowa. This front will continue to move to the southeast through the remainder of the evening. As it does, the threat for any more rain or storms should begin to diminsh after sunset.

Yup, moved through Beloit/South Beloit right around 6.

Just a little shower here, no hail, impressive temp drop (from 82-69 on my thermometer) in about 20 minutes.

Wind gusts (E35-40) followed the rain shower rather than preceeding it, which was a little odd.

we just had some brief rain from the earlier storm, and we just had an impressive lightning show and nonstop thunder here in loves park.
