Puddles drying up for the weekend!

As of 10am the Rockford Airport had recorded another half an inch of rain. The ground is saturated at this point and minor flooding is becoming a bit of a concern. Be careful of ponding on roadways and low lying areas. A Flood Watch is in effect through this afternoon for Jo Daviess, Stephenson, Carroll, and Whiteside County.

Rain showers will remain fairly constant through the rest of this afternoon. The showers will turn to sprinkles during the overnight hours, and the skies should be mostly dry by the time your Friday morning commute rolls around. Speaking of Friday, we've got a weekend upon us! 13News is the only station that is committed to your community! We will be showcasing some of our local community events on each weathercast Thursday through Saturday. For more events in and around your neighborhood, click here.
