Wet weather is in the forecast for today, but it will not be a constant rainfall. Here is how you can plan your day.As of 7:30am the tail end of the widespread showers from last night were moving out of Winnebago County. Soaking rains have already brought over an inch of rain to Freeport, Rochelle, and DeKalb. Sterling has a whopping 1.77" in the rain gauge. Rockford has seen .81" in the last 8 hours.
This morning and afternoon the showers will be spotty in nature. Though the rain will come and go, the cloud cover will not. Cool and breezy conditions will be sticking with us all day long. By tonight, another batch of widespread rain should cover the Stateline. The showers could be heavy at times. Therefore, Mother Nature might be waking you up periodically again tonight. -ADAM
