The city of Rockford is hosting an enormous soccer tournament this weekend as well as the Red Shoe Run. Both events are hoping for nice weather. The majority of Saturday will be dry, but we will see a few brief and light showers mainly during the morning hours. With temperatures hovering around the freezing mark the precipitation will fall in the form of a light mix of rain and snow. The accumulating snow will be to the south of us in northern Missouri and central Illinois.By Sunday this storm system will have traversed off towards the east allowing our chances for wet weather to be fairly minimal.
