Winter Weather Update

It's hard to believe that just a few weeks ago temperatures were sitting in the 60's and 70's and now we have the potential to see a major late season winter storm. After looking through all the data and computer models...here is the latest thinking of where this storm will track and how much snow will fall.

It looks like the greatest amount of snow will fall to the north of the Wisconsin/Illinois boarder with the potential for 6" or more! Throughout the Rockford metro area...anywhere between 3-6" could fall and places south of I-88 will see lesser amounts.

Even though this storm is roughly 12-18 hours away, there are still many factors that can play into it. Once the snow begins to fall to the west in the Plains later this evening, we should begin to have a better idea of what will happen and will continue to fine tune the forecast.
