The official high temperature in Rockford today was 92°. Enough to break a 75 year old record! Now our attention turns to the cold front that will bring a halt to our May sizzle. Showers and thunderstorms will be likely Tuesday morning with some pea-sized hail and gusty winds. Widespread severe weather is not anticipated, but may fire just southeast of us tomorrow afternoon. Winds will switch out of the northwest during the afternoon. Temperatures will fall from a late-morning high of 73° into the middle to upper 50s by evening.
Have a great night! -ERIC

Remember last summer? It was just too hot? Any indication whether this summer is going to be a little cooler let's hope, to kind of average things out?
Hopefully it isnt too hot. With the current gas prices, people are going to be walking to work or riding bikes.
