This animation shows a basic demonstration of the increase in annual mean temperature in five year increments from 1880 through 2006. Warmest temperatures are in red. There is definate proof, I think. A few times in the last century it has warmed up temporarily in very scattered areas. The past 5-10 years the warming is global.
