Water Vapor into Water Droplets

The pipeline is wide open right now for warm and moist air to stream northward off of the Gulf of Mexico. You will certainly feel it the next two days with temperatures in the upper 80s and dew points in the upper 50s. With all this moisture being added to the air, eventually we should get a thunderstorm or two. We won't have a trigger mechanism, or way to lift the air at the surface, until Thursday in the form of a cold front.

A large area of high pressure is sitting along the eastern seaboard. This high is acting as a blocking mechanism and it continues to slow down this approaching rainmaker. As of this morning, it now looks like our rain chances will hold off until Thursday afternoon and Thursday night. -ADAM
