Slight Chance for Severe Weather

The majority of the viewing area is under a slight risk for severe weather for today. Thunderstorms are expected to form along and ahead of a cool front that will slide across the region tonight. Activity ahead of the front in eastern Iowa is spotty as of 9am. This afternoon we could see a few isolated thunderstorms, but the brunt of the storms occur this evening. The main threat from these thunderstorms will be gusty winds. Small hail is possible, but not incredibly likely. Furthermore, our tornado threat is minimal.

More updates to come as this Monday progresses. -ADAM

Just had a brief, but heavy, downpour up here in Rockton. Heard some thunder and had some pretty stiff wind gusts too. 10 minutes later the sun is trying to come back out.
