Spring Today, Gone Tomorrow

An area of high pressure will move from South Dakota to Ohio in the next 24 hours. Our temperatures are going to make some significant changes by Thursday and here is why.

You remember the clockwise flow around an area of high pressure, right? Currently we are ahead of that high, which is giving us a north wind between 5-15 miles per hour. By Wednesday and Thursday we will be behind the high, giving us a return flow. The air circulates around the high and returns to us in the form of a southerly wind. This southerly wind will have picked up much warmer air with it. The spike in temperatures will take 48 hours to move from 69° today to 92° Thursday. -ADAM

Same deal up here, just throw a moderate risk for severe t-storms on the Day 3 and I might just have a fun night at WKOW!
