A line of thunderstorms has developed to the northwest stretching from southern Wisconsin back through northwest Illinois. With so much moisture in the atmosphere, heavy rainfall, possible up to an inch per hour, could occur with some of the thunderstorms. Along with the heavy rain, gusty winds and even small hail could occur as well. Storms will continue to move to the east/southeast through the rest of the afternoon.

Raining pretty hard here in Rockton. Hearing some thunder too. Good old fashoin summer thunderstorm!
Think its going to hit here soon in Winnebago, winds have picked up and its pretty dark!

i was just outside and the dark clouds are over us and we had a cold wind blow so i have a feeling we are going to get it anytime now.
I felt the cool wind to. Its now raining in Winnebago and thundering like crazy..its some really loud thunder! i love summertime storms when its so humid out! So is the humidity still going to hang around with us for the rest of the day even though its raining?
pouring pretty good in Machesney Park, started about 10 minutes ago. Got the dark, then that cool wind blew like previous posters mentioned
well it looks like where i am at in loves park, i think we got the shaft again. it did rain moderate, but nothing much. a few rumbles of thunder but based on the radar it looks like the storms are fizzling right over rockford. thatis our luck. i could see the rain cloud just north of me and it stayed north.
Yeah it rained a lil bit and we had some thunder but it wasn't a huge huge downpour it was a steady rain for about 15 mins or so and now its done.
honestly looking at the radar, it looks like the storms are holding together good carroll county but the storms fizzled up here. what is it with rockford,that storms do that. bad elsewhere then fizzle when they get here.
Im by the airport.. it didnt even rain here.
