The image to the left is radar estimated amounts of precipitation from the storm system that moved through last night. Notice how little Beloit received, while Lee County is off the charts. The dark reds and purples are indicative of rainfall totals between 4 and 6 inches of rain! Pretty incredible! Here are some readings that were reported this morning:Freeport = 1.48"
Stockton = 1.62"
Galena = 1.73"
Polo = 4.27"
Dixon = 4.36"
Oregon = 5.19"
How much rain did you get in your backyard?

what about today and tonight? Can we see another flood watch or severe thunderstorm watch for the stateline? On the weather channel they said tonight we could get 1-2 inches of rain with a 80% chance of thunderstorms and rain. They also call for heavy thunderstorms. What do you think will happen today and tonight????
The forecast for today hasn't changed much over the past 48 hours. We are still expecting strong to severe thunderstorms late this afternoon and tonight. The main severe weather threats will be damaging winds and heavy rainfall. A severe thunderstorm watch could very likely be issued later today.
A flood watch is currently in effect for Jo Daviess, Stephenson, Carroll, and Whiteside Counties until Thursday morning. A flood warning for small streams is in effect through tonight for Ogle and Lee Counties.
