Rainy for the Rockford ProAm?

Forecasting the weather is nothing but making an educated guess that something will happen based on it's probability of occurence. Late last week, all of our models were giving us 10s and 20s for POPs (probabilities of precipitation) for ProAm Monday. As of Sunday morning, the POPs have risen to 40s and 50s for Monday. On top of that, the Storm Prediction Center has put all of our area in a slight risk of severe. (Just what you want to hear when you're planning a trip to the Rockford ProAm, right?)

It still appears that storm activity will be scattered on Monday. In fact two of our models (GFS and NAM) are indicating the greatest storm/rain risk will travel from Minneapolis to Milwaukee with a bypass of Rockford. I hate to say "Let's wait and see," but that's all we have right now.
Certainly, let's enjoy our day today. Not too many times can we get an 82 degrees with sunshine on a July weekend day. -ERIC
