Check out these eclipse pictures from last night's show! Thanks to Mike Stone, Meteorologist for WTOL-TV, for sending them into us. Mike, one just doesn't look like the others however. ;-) -ERIC

I was up at 4:00am to view the Lunar Eclipse and was glad I did it was well worth the wait..I was going to take some pictures but they were not turning out right so I am glad you have some posted as well. Hope you all have a good evening!
HMMMMM.... "One of these things is not like the others; one of these things just doesn't belong..." All of these pics are really beautiful! I wasn't able to see the eclipse this morning and thought I had missed the opportunity totally. Thanks for sharing.
My sister works as a security guard and she goes in to work at 6 am. The guard she replaces told her that he had to laugh because a guy leaving the factory came out of the building with a bag on his head, from fear of the lunar eclipse. He must have thought it was going to fry his brain, poor guy! BTW I love the color on that there Eclipse!
I didn't know anything about the eclipse until chore time today and my mother-in-law mentioned it. Glad to be able to view the pictures from Mike! Topic of flooding, you should see the Pec @ Damascus Landing on Cedarville rd going east from Lena, its a sight when you don't see water that high everyday.
Good stuff! I unfortunately slept right through it. :( Let's hope we don't get any more rain. The flooding needs to GO! Have a good night everybody. -ERIC
I slept right thru it too. Plus I completely forgot about it. It's rough working at 4 or 6pm alot then have to work 7-4. I am so used to sleeping in til about 9 or 10 in the morning.
We did see the eclipse. Even my 11, 8 and 4 year old grandkids got up with me. The older two were quite impressed; the 4 year old asked to go back to bed! I always enjoy the opportunity to watch creation at work!
Eric has over twelve years of experience in broadcast Meteorology and is the only local Meteorologist who was born and raised in Rockford! In June 2008 he was given the prestigious Silver Dome Award for best TV weathercast from the Illinois Broadcasters Association. He attended St. Edwards Grade School and Boylan High School here in Rockford before heading to Northern Illinois University. After receiving his Bachelor of Science Degree in Meteorology, Eric worked at KTRE-TV in Lufkin, Texas and KLTV in Tyler, Texas. His parents live in Belvidere and are loyal viewers every night. He has an older brother who lives in the Chicagoland area and a sister who watches WREX on a fuzzy tv up in East Troy, Wisconsin. He's happy to share his Rockford home with an 8 year old black lab named Theo. Around the station Theo's been nicknamed the "13 Weather Lab."
