Monday Night Update
Scattered showers and storms continue to traverse across the Stateline. Rainfall totals around 2 inches have already been reported in DeKalb County. Thunderstorms continue to develop out towards central Iowa. As the night wears on, our threat for severe weather continues to diminish. As stated earlier, gusty winds are possible, but any severe weather will be isolated. The main concern continues to be the potential for heavy rainfall, which is why a Flash Flood Watch is in effect for all of the Stateline viewing area until tomorrow afternoon. -ADAM

So basically we are not expecting any of the severe weather that was said to happen earlier this evening? I know i watched the news at 5pm and nothing was said, then watching the weather channel which i don't depend on they said we could see some severe. Is there a chance for severe tomorrow morning at all?
In case nobody answers, I would guess no just for the fact that its morning... maybe adam can correct me if I'm wrong
we had a couple of torrential downpours at walmart around 915 then again around 10, but nothing much else. i haev a half inch of rain so far in loves park.
tornado warning in wisconsin
we just a very torrential downpour in loves park and looks like more on the way, be interesting to see my gauge later in the morning, half inch before midnight and whatever i get now.
Tornado reported by the public at intersection of Shopiere Rd & I-90/I-39 at 11:58 p.m. just east of Beloit.
I was about 4 mi. w. of that location and heard the Beloit tornado sirens, and frankly was surprised. I'd been watching the sky & had seen nothing that looked like rotation where I was. Of course it could have developed out of my view, but I was particularly observing the sky during lightning flashes as I am a NWS trained spotter who is trying to improve my night-time spotting skills, and I really didn't see anything that looked like any kind of rotation (from where I was). It was good nighttime spotting conditions too where I was: lots of lightning flashes & little rain to obscure the view.
Storm woke me up at 1:30 a.m. in Belvidere, some impressive downpour and massive display of lightning. Was surprised not to see or hear a storm warning!
whew! what a loud thunder... woke me up. lightning is impressive also here at I39/bypass20, raining very hard.
here to check on any news for severe updates. guess not. try to go back to bed.....
We are bracing for flooding in our basement near the East State/Fairview area. The water has already started to seep into the basement. We even had our immersible sump pump running out in the yard to pump away some water! My husband just emptied our rain gauge and we have gotten over SIX inches of rain in the last few hours.
Severe weather is defined by large hail, damaging winds, and tornadic activity. Our threat for severe weather was fairly low last night, though our threat for immense amounts of rain was fairly high. I mentioned at 5pm and 6pm that isolated severe weather could take place, but that the majority of the viewing area would not run into severe weather.
Thank you to the person who posted on the tornado warning in Rock County. We won't know if it was a confirmed tornado until sunrise and damage reports are done.
Our threat for severe weather this morning remains quite low, but another inch or two of rain on an already saturated ground is highly likely.
Watch 13News Today. We have some amazing footage of flooding that occurred overnight.

Wasn't out for long though maybe a min if that. I haven't heard a storm that loud since i was a lil kid in the middle of the night lol..
