Non-severe storms for the lunch hour

The line of thunderstorms that originally formed out in Waterloo, Iowa has since weakened and torn apart a bit. Even though the severe thunderstorm watch is still running, no warnings are expected to be issued as the storms have weakened below the severe criteria. We will still some moderate to heavy rainfall, but the wind gusts should be bearable. There is one strong cell near the Quad Cities, but this storm is moving away from us to the southeast.

We are not in the clear just yet. The main instability axis should lie to the south of us this afternoon, but some strong storms could still pop up and affect us later today. -ADAM
