A week of heavy rain

While most of Monday night will be rainfree, Tuesday and Wednesday promise to bring more heavy rains to the area. The image to the left is the official forecast from the Hydrometeorological Prediction Center (heavy rain branch of the NWS). It is a five day plot of precipitation with a bullseye over Eastern Iowa. I agree with the thought that Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin will receive another 3+ inches of rainfall before the faucet shuts off sometime early Saturday. -ERIC

based on the latest I have seen with the rain, looks like now we will be on the lighter end of it. It is showing the heaviest across iowa into wisconsin and we are on the southern edge. But knowing how things can change. Any kind of rain is not good news here.
