Humberto heads into Houston/Galveston

Tropical Storm Humberto will head into Southeast Texas during the next 12 hours. Torrential rainfall (in excess of 5 inches) is possible which may produce extreme flooding. (Remember Tropical Storm Allison?)

Areas of concern include Houston, Bay City, Galveston, Port Arthur, and Beaumont, Texas.

Luckily this storm is pretty close to the Upper Texas coast. We don't expect this to achieve hurricane status before it makes landfall. -ERIC

Funny how calm they all are with such a storm approaching.
