Latest 6-10 Day Forecast

Other than a few showers coming on Friday of this week, much of our local area will be fairly dry. The most active part of the country will be along the Gulf Coast through Saturday. A tropical disturbance is expected to move out of the Gulf of Mexico bringing heavy rain to coastal sections of TX, LA, MS, AL, and FL.

Looking long range (September 16-20), it looks like we'll see a more tranquil weather pattern as upper level high pressure builds over the central U.S. Cool weather will linger this weekend along the Mississippi River valley, points eastward. It appears that this autumn chill will be short-lived as temperatures next week rebound for much of the Central U.S. As far as precipitation, it isn't too likely to be heavy in the Middle Mississippi River valley. -ERIC
