Thermometers in Rockford surged up to 92° on Monday. How rare is that? Going back to 1901 (when record-keeping began) there have only been 21 times that we've gotten to 90° in the fall season! The most recent time that's happened was back in 1997. So, if you thought today was rare, you were right!By the way, the latest date we've ever gotten to 90° was October 6, 1963.
