A line of intense thunderstorms stretches from NW of Davenport to Quincy. These storms are training north (or just east of north). There's an isolated risk of severe wind (60+mph) in the outlined area...which may near Whiteside Co. in our far SW viewing area through midnight.
Winds are increasing in Northern Illinois. Some non-thunderstorm wind gusts may near 45mph overnight. Any storms could add 10-15mph to that...so some trees and powerlines cound be downed in the strongest storms.
Widespread severe weather should hold off until at least 6am...Latest computer guidance still pinpoints the main event a few hours either side of noon Thursday. -ERIC
