You think it's easy forecasting the weather here?

It's not...but imagine if we had cloud patterns like this! The New Horizons spacecraft took some stunning images of Jupiter earlier this year while on the way out to Pluto. For an in-depth explanation of the clouds, click here. And as always you can click on the image to enlarge.

What kind of clouds are those? Presumably they're not water vapor ...

I'll go out on a limb and predict Jovian weather of "a mixture of clouds & sun."

The winter forcast for Jupiter? Very cold, I'll bet :-)

The clouds are composed of ammonia crystals and other complex molecules.
