Early this year we upgraded our weather graphics, but things aren't complete just yet. We need your help! Are you a photographer? Do you have a digital camera? In the coming cloudy but non-foggy days, take some pictures of your hometown that are unique. The arch in Dixon and the riverfront of Beloit come to mind. Send them in and we'll put your town on the map...literally!While a shot with no snow can be used all year long, if there's snow visible, it'll only be used during the winter months. Use the guidelines in the image above to make sure that the most important features are seen.Nighttime images aren't necessary (we can edit the city lights on here) but if you can, get the same precise picture and angle from day to night. In order to do this, it's easiest to draw a chalk outline around where your camera is (during the day). When you go back at night, you'll be able to get the camera in the exact position.Be creative and have fun with this! We would love to forecast forall of our smaller cities and towns. Send your pictures to esorensen@wrex.com and be sure to include the city/town name and your full name (so we can give you some on-air credit). Thanks!
