Shower Coverage

Over the course of the next six months you will hear a lot of storm jargon from us as we try to describe our rain chances. The graphic to the left is a list of terms I typically use to describe the shower coverage or percentage of our viewing area that will receive rain. Isolated is on the low end of the scale with most locations staying dry, while widespread is on the opposite end of the scale with most locations getting wet.

This jargon can directly be applied to this rainmaker affecting us for the next three days. Isolated showers are possible this afternoon. The storms should become more scattered in nature overnight. During the daytime hours on Friday widespread thunderstorms appear likely. By Saturday, scattered showers will linger across the region but should be fairly light.

We still stand at a slight risk for severe weather on Friday. Eric/Justin will have in-depth analysis on this potential later today. -ADAM
