A Good Soaker

Today's rainfall should be a good soaker. One or two rumbles of thunder are possible, but for the most part I am just expecting some general shower activity. Rainfall reports from Iowa overnight have varied greatly. I've seen reports of as little as a few hundredths of an inch to well over an inch of liquid. The graphic to the left shows the precipitation output for the next 24 hours by ExacTrack, while the graphic to the right is the same timeframe take by the meteorologists at the Hydrometeorological Prediction Center. Although rainfall totals in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin will probably have a high variability, most locations should fall between 0.25-0.75" of liquid today. The back edge of the rain should push through the Stateline by 4am Wednesday morning. -ADAM
