Greetings bloggers! My apologies for the lack of blogposts by yours truly this week. I'll get into the reasons why in a little bit. Read on...
We're in for a rainy 24 hours as a storm system dies out over the upper Midwest. It appears the heaviest of the rain is over as Rockford quickly added up a third of an inch this evening. An additional third is possible through Saturday as this system winds down. We should be happy with a dying storm though. If this thing was in its developing stage we'd be in for snow (as happened in parts of Kansas and Nebraska today). Rain will become more and more scattered as Friday wears on. A few lingering showers are possible early Saturday before a REALLY potent cold front delivers some mighty cold air for Sunday-Tuesday. A few errant snowflakes will be possible as the front comes through on Saturday. So, that's nothing new.
What is new? Well, that's the reason I've been absent from the blog this week. Next week we will debut a new tool in our weather center. Honestly, I can't say much about it yet but hopefully will be able to say more right here early next week. I can say that it is the biggest piece of technology to ever come to the Rockford TV market. The secret will be told late next week. The investment 13WREX is making in our weather department will prove to you in the coming weeks, months, and years that we're in the business of doing weather right. We'll invite you to comment on our new tool next week. Please stay tuned! -ERIC

Ah, the suspense, thats what eric loves to do to us. Hehe. But thats why 13 is number 1. Keep up the good work and look forward to next week to see what is happening.
Actually eric, is this new tool the reason why the weather center shots seem more up close than normal.
Well, what a coup ... congratulations.
However you managed to pull that off, I'm envious. Can I borrow you to come talk to my boss next about some badly needed software .....???????
I think you should give us a small hint each day leading up to the debut of the new tool
