Yes, that's a Winter Storm Watch. Fortunately, the cut-off low pressure will keep the cold pocket of air to our west. No worries about snow yet with this system!

A tad off topic... But will there be a winter forecast for each month like you guys put together last year? It was real accurate I liked it. What has farmers' almanac said so far about precipitation? I know there was a post on here a while ago that we would have a cold winter, but I didnt see anything about snow
I know the NWS website has the latest long range winter outlook and its calling for greater chance of above normal temps and equal chance of precip. But if 13 does their forecast, I will believe that more than the NWS. Of course I don't think we will have la nina or el nino affecting us. If I am wrong eric or justin, please correct me.
Not sure yet, actually. You never know what we may have up our sleeves, though.
Regarding El Nino/La Nina... we've been hovering near neutral or weak La Nina the past few months. Last winter was a strong La Nina, for reference. Was talking to a buddy of mine yesterday that has us wondering if a rapid switch to El Nino may be in the offing in the next year.
I cant believe we're talking about snow.
That is strange that last years moderate to strong la nina gave us so much snow, when I know in past la ninas I think we have had very mild weather. Of course I think that happens during el ninos too.
Seems like most our cold and snow came right after the january 7th tornado.
And its hard to believe one week from sunday we will setting our clocks back one hour again.
