First accumulating snow of the season?

The same grass that you've laid out on the past few days could be covered in snow in just a few days!

A powerful cold front will arrive Thursday afternoon. Temperatures will free-fall on Friday and by Saturday we could have the first slushy accumulation of the winter season! Our ExacTrack computer model goes out 48 hours into the future. See the little stripe of one inch snows from Sioux Falls into northern Iowa? You can almost picture how that would extend eastward after the Friday 7pm timeframe. I don't believe we'll need the snowplows or shovels, but it could be enough to turn the grassy surfaces white early Saturday morning!

And actually eric, if we do get enought to cover the grass, have viewers take pics and send them in. That would be cool.

If you could make an educated guess... when can we pull out the snowmobiles?
