Rain 200 miles away and approaching

Light to moderate rain is currently falling along the Minnesota/Iowa border. It should move into the Mississippi River valley shortly after lunch and move into Winnebago County during the mid-to-late afternoon hours. The bulk of the rain is going to fall between 4pm-10pm this evening. Most locations will pick up between 0.10" - 0.40" of liquid.

Gray skies along with some wet weather is manageable today since we are on the warm side of this storm system. Southwesterly winds at 15-25 mph will kick our thermometers into the 50s this afternoon. By Friday and this upcoming weekend, we move into the cold sector of this storm system. Northwesterly winds are patiently waiting to send our temperatures well below normal in the near future. -ADAM
