72% of average in under a month

The onslaught of snow over the past month has been well publicized on this blog. The accumulating snowfall season typically runs from the middle of November through the end of March. In just over three weeks we've shoveled over 26" of snow. As you can see to the left, the average for the entire season is a flake or two above 37". By yearly average I mean from July 1st through June 30th. Today is the first full day of winter and we've already received 72% of the average snowfall for '08-'09 and we still have at least 3 months of wintry weather to endure! -ADAM

Looks like we will be on track for another record breaking snow fall for the season (packing in my head and moving south).
