Even though the worst temperatures of winter are still ahead, there will be more sunshine in the sky every day. If you're counting, we've got nine hours, five minutes, and 11 seconds of daylight coming on Tuesday. By New Year's Day we've got nine hours, nine minutes, and 39 seconds! That's a net gain of four minutes. Yay!Too bad you won't see the sun tomorrow...there's more snow on the way. More on that to come.

Well eric, based on the 7 day, looks like from tomorrow into wednesday, we may get anywhere between 5-10 inches of snow from these two waves. What is you guess as to how much we may actually receive. Either way, looks like a messy christmas eve.
I need some travel advise.... my in-laws are traveling from Indianapolis via I-74 to I-39 north to Beloit. Which day would be better traveling on the highways coming Northwest?
Lori: Thursday (Christmas) will be the best time. However Wednesday's storm should be out of here by the evening. That would be the next best time (although there will still be some wintry highway driving). I hope this helps. There are a lot of people who are going to have troubles this year. :( Let's hope everybody makes it safe to their destination. -ES
