Advisories are covering the Stateline viewing area tonight. These advisories are set to run until 9am or whenever our temperatures rise above 32°. These headlines have been posted for the potential for some minor icing tonight. FutureTrack is picking up a lot of precipitation, but the lower levels of the atmosphere are very dry. Due to this, hardly any of this activity has hit the ground. Our atmosphere will slowly saturate in the next couple of hours. I would expect to see some sleet and freezing rain though it should remain rather light. I believe that ice accumulations will stay at or below a tenth of an inch.
Our temperatures are heading above the freezing mark all day on Friday, which should melt off any minor ice accumulations quickly. I will blog about the potential for heavy rain on Saturday in the morning... -ADAM

For those who are, uh, having a little trouble appreciating sn*w after having shoveled more than enough of it, ahem, check out this website; it'll give you a whole new appreciation of snowflakes:

Take care traveling folks. Here in South Beloit we have at least a 0.2 layer of ice on the roadways. Very slick as it's being enhanced by the slow melting of the ice. Take it easy on the roads. I would assume that Rock county WI has the same type of conditions as I live one mile south of the border.
Thanks, Chad, for the heads-up!
