How much more rain should Winnebago expect ? Seems the heaviest has stayed to the east .
According to the unreliable weather channel, looks like the front is right on top of rockford now. I am just fearing all this rain is going to freeze tonight.
The water on roadways will probably make for icy conditions overnight, yes.
However, the subfreezing air is lagging behind the front... at 2pm it was still 34 in Dubuque.
Oh ok. I wouldn't even know how much snow we have left at our house. There are still some snow piles, but alot of bare ground being seen now, and just 24 hours ago, snow was up to my knees. I am amazed how much melted just overnight. I have a feeling a month from now we will have that snow replaced.
If your driving around this afternoon, ease up on the gas pedal, you might hydroplane, the water just does not have no where to go. I am for sure it's been told last night on air and here to, just to let everyone know
I agree. There is a lot of standing water from the snowmelt. It seems that the fog is only bad where there is still dense snowpack. I drove home around 2 and some places it is down to 0 visib. and other areas you can see perfectly fine. Justin, after this storm is done, are there any more snows or major cold snaps in the foreseeable future.
No significant snow in the offing for almost a week. Slight flurry chance on Tuesday, but the chance is low enough that I'm leaving it out for now.
Ok thats cool. As you can tell I do love snow. If this was late february or early march I wouldn't mind this snow being gone, but the winter months just dont feel like winter without snow and cold. I know people are going to call me crazy. But of course our blogger Brian is probably praying for more snow too along with snowmobilers and plowers. hehe. 13 weather authority rocks.
We've got water/backup in our basement...first time in our 7 years of living here...icky - trying to find the silver lining in the fact that we now get to clean out the basement from the 7 years of accumulation...village just arrived...breathe in breathe out -
