Enlarging on what Jen pointed out, several blocks of Galena Avenue in Dixon carry Illinois Routes 2 and 26, as well as U.S. Route 52. At one time it also carried U.S. Alternate 30, which was later terminated before it reached Galena Ave. and was renamed Illinois 38.
Oh, and as a side note... when two roads with opposite cardinal directions follow the same route, it's called a wrong-way concurrency. Eric's learning of such a term was the reason he posted this image.
This is near Wytheville, VA. 77 North takes you to Big Walker Mountain and West Virginia and 81 to Bristol, TN. 77 South and 52 South of this area leads to Fancy Gap - some of the best scenery in America.
Eric has over twelve years of experience in broadcast Meteorology and is the only local Meteorologist who was born and raised in Rockford! In June 2008 he was given the prestigious Silver Dome Award for best TV weathercast from the Illinois Broadcasters Association. He attended St. Edwards Grade School and Boylan High School here in Rockford before heading to Northern Illinois University. After receiving his Bachelor of Science Degree in Meteorology, Eric worked at KTRE-TV in Lufkin, Texas and KLTV in Tyler, Texas. His parents live in Belvidere and are loyal viewers every night. He has an older brother who lives in the Chicagoland area and a sister who watches WREX on a fuzzy tv up in East Troy, Wisconsin. He's happy to share his Rockford home with an 8 year old black lab named Theo. Around the station Theo's been nicknamed the "13 Weather Lab."

I was either on my way to Virginia or Florida when I saw one that was East/West. Very odd.
I think this would be possible if you were a push me-pull you.
That's funny. Looks like its a bypass around near a major interstate. But still. lol
I did come across this sign recently.
lol, did you tweak your low temps? aha
Jim: perhaps and yes. ;)
In Dixon, a few blocks of Galena Ave are both North Rt. 26 and South Rt. 2 - at the same time. You don't know if you are coming or going!

PS - Eric, really enjoy your forecasts!
Kind of like "which 20 are you on?" in the Rockford Area...
Bypass 20, Business 20, Rt 20...
anyone ever get confused on the two different 'business 20s' east of rockford? I do. I forget what side of belvidere i will arrive at. lol
A stretch of the "beltline" in Madison WI carries U.S. routes 12, 14, 18, and 151.

Ohhh, looks like we have some fellow road geeks in our midst. Eric and I are in good company!
