Some of us may be able to avoid the raindrops for a little while over the next few hours. There's an opening in the shield of rain south of I-80, and that's heading our way. However, I don't believe it will last particularly long, as the radar trend shows the gap slowly filling back in.
The back edge of the precipitation will remain relatively close by through the afternoon, although it won't finally reach us until the low pressure pulls away later today.
