We've got a wide swath of snow covering the Stateline right now. It took awhile for the atmosphere to saturate, but it has done so and now almost all observation sites are reporting light snow falling. Most of the measurements out of eastern Iowa have come back in with a wide range of 1-5". This system is weakening as it approaches, but we should still end up in the 1-3" slot that we posted yesterday.
Remember it doesn't take much snow to cause some slick spots. Roads will remain a little slippery the majority of the night. The snow appears to be done for the most part by 4am. Roads may remain damp during the morning hours, but by then our skies will be tranquil. -ADAM

I just got back home and the roads are horrendous. I went through the intersection of auburn and johnston and there was a car literarlly spinning its tires and could not get up the hill. My car was sliding through each intersection when starting at a green light. Please be cautious tonight.
