All eyes on the radars this Saturday as a major winter storm skirts by to the south. Winter Storm Watches are in effect across much of Kansas and Oklahoma in preparation for this event. Keep in mind, there are still thousands without power around Oklahoma City! This system will take a southern track and dump the heaviest snow across Central Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana. Once it passes by Ohio, it'll pick up moisture from the Atlantic and produce 12"+ snows across inland New England.As far as Illinois goes, I anticipate Snow Advisories to be issued for areas south of I-80 for Saturday with Winter Storm Warnings needed for the Central and Southern part of the state. Little/no snow is expected for Wisconsin this go-around.

Is there any chance that the storm could move up more our way? Just curious as we are going to a christmas party out of town Saturday. Thankfully we have a hotel for the night!
Alli: I think you're okay, so long as you're not going south of here. 1-3 north of I-88. Along I-80 corridor 2-5 inches. From Peoria to Bloomington to Champaign 4-8 inches.
Oh well, it was a nice thought while it lasted.
