Time to Dig Out

We will have until dinnertime Thursday night to dig out of this last snow storm. No additonal snow is expected on this Wednesday, but you will continue to see some snowflakes floating in the air. The reasoning behind this is because the fluffy stuff we received last night will be blowing around a bit as north winds kick between 15 - 25 mph. This will cause drifting and some large piles of snow. Main roadways have been cleared fairly well as of 7am, but many side streets and rural areas will continue to have to deal with snowpacked and slippery conditions. Allow yourself extra time to get where you are headed today as we all get used to driving on snow once again. -ADAM

I'm out in Addison, IL today (I355/I290 and it is STILL snowing. Have probably have received another inch from the lake effect. Hopefully it will die off here soon so i have an easier commute home to Rockford!

No doubt the Chicagoland area got hit fairly hard with this snow storm. Your afternoon commute back to the Forest City shouldn't raise your blood pressure too much at all.

Be sure to bundle up if you are shoveling & slinging snow later today!
