Snow storm: Glancing Blow

Winter Storm Watches are already in effect for areas of Northeastern Iowa and Southwestern Wisconsin. The only county in our viewing area under this watch is Jo Daviess Co. This includes Stockton and Galena.

Snow is expected to begin falling here in Northern Illinois late Wednesday night into Thursday when 2-5 inches is expected for the Rockford metro area. Higher amounts are likely northwest of the city with lesser amounts to the southeast. Snow will end with a few flurries on Friday. Attention will then turn to the weekend chills.
