Another Ice Bowl?

The New York Giants will be heading to the Midwest this weekend in anticipation of the big game versus the Green Bay Packers. If you thought this past weekend's Packer game was fun to watch, wait a few more days!

Temperatures this week will plummet. Depending on the snow cover, we may not achieve above-zero temperatures on Sunday. The same will occur at Lambeau as well. We're forecasting +3° temperatures (-15° wind chill) with light snow.

If you're wondering the "Ice Bowl of 1967" occurred on New Year's Eve of that year. Temperatures at game time were around -13° with chills twice as negative. The Packers ended up with a 21-17 win over the Dallas Cowboys.

Little known fact: The officials were unable to use their whistles after the opening kickoff; the referee blew his metal whistle to signal the start of play and it froze to his lips!
