The term snow will be used occasionally to describe the weather for the next couple of days, but I will have to downplay it a bit. This weekend we won't see much more than light snow/flurries. Don't expect to have to do much in the way of shoveling.
The next wave of energy to cross the region looks pretty weak and moisture starved. The reason for the lack of fuel for the next storm system has to do with last night's mixed precipitation. The cold front that brought us rain/snow last night will get hung up over the Gulf of Mexico this weekend. That cold front is going to act like a fence by not allowing any of the moisture from the Atlantic Ocean to stream into the upper Midwest. Therefore, if you have travel plans for this weekend I give you the green light! -ADAM
