Torrential downpours developing
Showers and thunderstorms are developing rapidly as of 2:05pm. Bands of heavy rain with embedded thunder will continue to move from the Quad Cities into the Rockford area through 6pm. We had one brief downpour around 130, and I just heard a very loud crash of thunder just now here in loves park. Hard to believe it is january 7th and we have 60s and thunderstorms. The other shoe will drop eventually.
Well, I guess u can say we have officially had it all this winter, rain, snow, sleet, freezing rain, wind, fog and now thunderstorms and 60s. Wow, what a winter. I guess if we actually get hail,that would do it.
