Beautiful! Gorgeous! Splendid!

And long overdue! Those are all good ways to describe today's weather. Sunday will bring us an encore performance that's almost as nice. But in case you were wondering how long it's been since we've enjoyed a Saturday this warm, it's been nearly six months. In fact, we haven't been at least as warm as 64 degrees on a Saturday since October 21 when we hit 80. Wow!

I decided to be really ambitious tonight and make a graphic showing our high temperature trends so far this year. The light yellow line is the normal high and the gold line is the actual high. Above normal areas are in red and below normal areas are in blue.

As we all remember, the first part of January was quite warm... but after that, above-normal highs were scarcely found. Look at all the blue from the end of January all the way up until the end of March. It seems as though we changed patterns around that time and are now in a warmer, more unsettled pattern!
