Damp Morning Commute

As of 7am a batch of showers are progressing across the region. The good news is that there is very little thunder associated with this wet weather. Light to moderate rain moves through the area this morning. The graphic to the left illustrates rainfall totals up until lunchtime. With the garden variety showers, most locations should pick up less than a quarter of an inch of rain.

An isolated shower or two is still possible this afternoon, but most locations should be dry as the majority of the energy in the atmosphere dips into central Illinois. A few rays of sunshine may even poke through allowing our high temperatures to go above average once again. -ADAM
