As Justin mentioned last night at 10pm, July is only two-thirds of the way over and it has already become the 9th wettest July on record. In terms of rainfall, we are already 4.40" above average for the month. This morning's batch of rainfall added between 0.1-0.3" of rain to the Stateline soil.
Looking back at the monthly precipitation totals for 2008 shows that 5 out of the first 7 months have ended up with a surplus. Since January 1st we have received 8.33" of liquid more than average. This is a typical setup during la nina years, although we have begun to slowly pull out of it.
For this afternoon's forecast, the worst of the wet weather is behind us. An isolated shower is still possible, but it shouldn't be anything more than a brief nuisance. For those who are sick and tired of the muggy conditions, relief is on the way late tonight! -ADAM

Usually by this time of year everything is turned yellow/orange from being dried out. It is so nice to enjoy the green through the summer for once!! It is more pleasant to the eyes. :)
