We've set a few records as of late, and almost set a fourth one yesterday! Here they are:
1) First climatological summer (June 1-August 31) without a 90°.
2) Latest first 90° (September 1).
3) Most daily rainfall on a September 4 (2.38").
We missed tying a fourth record by a mere two degrees. The coldest high temperature ever recorded on a September 4 was 61° in 1994. Our high yesterday was 63°, making it the second-coldest high ever recorded on the date.
For the record (ha!), Rockford's climate data begins in 1906.
