The cold reservoir of air that has been bottled up in Canada over the past couple of weeks has been let loose! Arctic air will continue to surge into the Stateline today and Friday. Temperatures will only reach the middle teens this afternoon with wind gusts near 25MPH throughout the day keeping wind chills below zero.
It will be another cold night tonight. Temperatures will range anywhere from about 0 to 5 degrees. With sunshine on Friday, highs will make it into the middle and upper 20s.
Then by the weekend, the jetstream will move north back into the northern Plains returning the 30s to the Stateline, but also a couple rain chances by the end of the week.
Make sure you dress in layers this afternoon and tonight. It's going to be cold!
